Tesco Home Panels Terms and Conditions

Tesco Home Panels and any accompanying communication relating to Tesco Home Panels is provided to you free of charge and is offered as a service to you from Tesco Stores Ltd. By registering for Tesco Home Panels Testing or visiting the Tesco Home Panels website you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you don’t agree to these Terms and Conditions we would kindly ask that you do not register for or use the Tesco Home Panels website.

Key Terms

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words have specific meanings:

The Scheme means the Tesco Home Panels scheme;

The Website means:

We, us, our etc. means Tesco Stores Limited, and/or any affiliate, and

You, your, yours, etc. means you, the user of the Website and/or member of the Scheme.

1) Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time and any changes will be notified to you via the e-mail address provided by you on registration or suitable announcement on the Website. The changes will apply to your use of the Scheme after we have given notice. By using the Website or participating in the Scheme after notification has been provided, you are accepting the new terms.

2) Registration

To participate in the Scheme you must:

  • be a resident in the UK aged 18 years or over;
  • be a Clubcard holder;
  • register as a member; and
  • ensure that the details you provide about yourself and your family are correct and complete and are kept updated.

Only one registration for the Scheme is allowed per person. Any linked participants (for example children for school wear/pets for pet food) must only be registered to a single member. Please note that you cannot register for the Scheme if you are employed by Tesco or any of its group companies.

3) Password and Security

When you register to join the Scheme, you will create your own password. You must keep this password secret and must not share it with anyone. You will be responsible for all activities that occur under your password. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password, you must contact us immediately.

If you forget your password/secret question, please contact us as we will be able to assist you with this.

4) Home Panel Testing - The Scheme

As a member of the Scheme you will be invited to participate in surveys and product tests from time to time. Surveys will take place via an on-line questionnaire. If you’re invited to participate in a product test, we will let you know how to use the product samples that will be dispatched to you. For both product testing and surveys, you will be asked to provide your opinions online. We may also ask you to take part in additional research.

Some products sent in the product testing packs may not be suitable for use by people with eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, allergies or other specific dietary requirements. Please take care to ensure anyone using these products is not allergic to or will not react adversely to any of the sample products' contents, and always read the labels and packaging carefully before sampling.

Once any surveys have been completed, you may keep the product samples.

We may require you to return product samples if damage or faults have been identified during the trial. If that is the case, we will reimburse your postage costs as appropriate.

5) Intellectual Property

The legal rights (including the intellectual property rights) in the Website, any content on it and the compilation of this content is owned by us, or licensed to us by third parties. The Website and content, including the compilation of the content, is protected by international copyright laws and database rights.

6) Survey Incentives

To thank you for participating in the Scheme, we offer an incentive scheme. For each survey that you complete and submit, we will award you one reward point. We may, at our discretion, offer extra reward points for participating in certain surveys or tests. Once you accumulate 50 reward points, we will email you an E-reward code, this gives you a link that will enable you to redeem in exchange for vouchers/codes to be spent at various retailers, these may change from time to time and most up to date will be evident when logging your code. The reward scheme is something that we offer at our discretion, and we may change or cancel it at any time, without telling you.

7) Disclaimer of Warranties

The Scheme is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and while we will do our best to ensure that this Website is available 24 hours a day, we can’t guarantee this. We expressly disclaim all warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You understand and agree that any material and/or data obtained through the Scheme is at your own discretion and risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the involvement with the Scheme.

8) Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for any loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that you suffer due to, or in connection with, your use of this Website or your participation in the Scheme, including as a result of any surveys or product tests, except where our negligence causes personal injury or death.

9) Applicable Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

10) Miscellaneous

This contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.

Each of the paragraphs in these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms and upon such assignment we shall be relieved of any further obligation under these Terms.

The Scheme and the Website is owned and operated by Tesco Stores Limited, a company registered in England and Wales whose registered office is at Tesco House, Shire Park, Kestrel Way, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 1GA
